All big trees come from small seeds. And SAC Ramki too is no different to this universal truth. From a humble background (a village near Thiruvannamalai to be precise), Ramki stepped into the film industry as an art assistant at an age of 20. Mightily impressed with his talent, that too at a very young age, ace filmmaker S A Chandrasekar promoted Ramki as an art director as well as his own associate director.
Practice makes perfect. And Ramki has immense belief in this saying. It was only after working as an art director in more than 16 movies and associate director in five films, Ramki wanted to test waters as a director. His first film as director was Solli Adippen, a movie which marked the arrival of Vivek as hero. His concept and the story narrative style in Solli Adippen were well received by film industry people.
And there is no stoppping for Ramki. Currently he has finished shooting Nanum En Kadhalum, a movie based on love as well as a good message for audience about myths of astrology. "I have a long way to go. I would like to establish myself as a director whose films are worth watching. There are many meaningful stories which are to be told in an interesting way," he says.
